In August 2021, Jeremy started his legal career in Singapore with WhiteFern where he has since completed both his Relevant Legal Training and Practice Training with the firm. Since joining the firm, Jeremy has been mainly involved in issues relating to policy coverage. These policies include Fire, Industrial Special All Risk, Fidelity Guarantee and Public Liability.

As a newly qualified associate of the firm, Jeremy continues to be actively involved in both contentious and non-contentious insurance matters.

Jeremy has acted in the following notable cases:

• Assisted in advising an Insurer for a claim against a fire policy for an incident within a warehouse where the claim is valued in excess of $13 million. Considered complex issues including that of causation.
• Assisted in advising insurers on various Fidelity Guarantee policies including a “fidelity guarantee type” endorsement within an Industrial Special Risk Policy where an employee had misappropriated inventory and the claim was in excess of $5.5 million.
• Assisted in defending an established valuation firm in Singapore against a claim for professional negligence suit brought against it in the High Court for about $1.6 million.
• Assisted in advising an Insurer on a Jeweler’s Block policy claim valued in excess of $500,000.
• Assisted in advising Insurers on policy engagement over various claims relating to Public Liability policies.
• Assisted in advising and defending solicitors and property agents in various claims for professional negligence.
