Jeff is an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore.

Jeff’s practice focuses on commercial and civil litigation, with particular emphasis on insurance, construction, and complex contractual disputes.

Jeff has experience advising on and defending complex claims, particularly those arising under Industrial All Risks (IAR), Industrial Special Risks (ISR), and public liability insurance policies. He has assisted as both defence and advisory counsel for insurers and insured parties, providing advice on coverage, liability, and risk management.

Jeff has been involved in the following significant cases and published judgements: 

  • Successfully acted as second chair for a logistics company in successfully defending a subrogated claim of approximately S$3.44 million brought by a local insurer, both at first instance and on appeal before the Appellate Division of the High Court: see HSBC Institutional Trust Services (Singapore) Ltd (as trustee of AIMS AMP Capital Industrial REIT) v DNKH Logistics Pte Ltd [2022] SGHC 248 and HSBC Institutional Trust Services (Singapore) Ltd (as trustee of AIMS AMP Capital Industrial REIT) v DNKH Logistics Pte Ltd [2023] 1 SLR 1349.
  • Assisting counsel in proceedings before the Appellate Division of the High Court involving a S$12.5 million claim for misrepresentation and breach of duty of care pertaining to investment losses.
  • Assisting counsel in proceedings before the General Division of the High Court involving a S$4.5 million claim pertaining to a claim under a Fire and Extraneous Perils insurance policy involving issues of material non-disclosure, misrepresentation, and causation.
  • Assisting counsel in proceedings before the General Division of the High Court involving a S$700,000 claim for breach of contract pertaining to unpaid invoices for consulting services.
  • Acted for Claimants and Respondents in construction adjudications under the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act.
